On August 10, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau (SCAB) called a conference inviting director-generals of the district civil affairs bureaus to study and implement the messages of the 2010 Mid-year National Civil Affairs Analytical Conference and of the 12th Plenary Session of the 9th CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee. The conference reviewed the work in the first two quarters of the year and formulated a plan for the second half of the year 2010 with the focus on supporting the Expo and achieving still further progress. Director-general of SCAB Ma Yili hosted the conference and delivered a speech, followed by briefings from the vice director-generals of SCAB on their respective work accomplished. At the conference, discussions were conducted among the representatives of the district-level civil affairs bureaus, which centered around the ‘Twelfth Five Year Plan’ for the advancement of Shanghai civil affairs undertakings, the Cooperation Agreement between Ministry of Civil Affairs and Shanghai Municipal Government, and the focuses on the work for the year.
